At NorthStar Academy, we believe that learning happens best in community. Through our Community Connections program, we partner with students, families, teachers, and local communities to build meaningful relationships and foster shared learning experiences. Whether gathering in person or online, we create opportunities for students to connect, collaborate, and grow together in faith-filled learning.
To support this vision, we offer a variety of ways for students and families to engage:
- Activity Days – Field trips designed to build community while exploring new places and experiences, inspiring curiosity and fostering relationships within the local area.
- Learning Huddles – Single-day or multi-week opportunities that develop academic skills and knowledge through interactive, collaborative learning.
- Equip Huddles – Gatherings where parents receive practical support and encouragement while students build connections through fun, community-centered activities.
- Impact Huddles – School-wide service events that encourage students to make a positive impact in their local communities, living out their faith through acts of service.
- Virtual Homerooms – Online spaces where students build relationships with classmates and teachers, staying connected despite geographical distance and fostering a supportive, Christ-centered community.
Throughout the year, our entire school community comes together for Celebration Events. Annual gatherings like our Back-to-School BBQ, North and South Christmas Parties, and Graduation create moments to celebrate milestones, strengthen friendships, and encourage one another in faith and growth.
By participating in Community Connections, students, families, and educators grow together in faith, knowledge, and service—equipping each other for life-long Kingdom impact and embodying the heart of a Christ-centered learning community.
