In Loving Memory of Susan Sampson
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mrs. Susan Sampson, who peacefully concluded her courageous battle with cancer yesterday morning. Diagnosed in 2011, Susan’s life was a testament to resilience, grace, and unwavering faith. Despite the challenges of her journey, Susan was deeply rooted in her love for God and her choice to live a life of joyful surrender to His will.
Susan leaves behind her loving husband, Jay, and her five beloved children—Sable, Sawyer, Sander, Jack, and Jonah—who were her pride and joy. She also leaves an extended family and a strong community of friends who walked closely with her through every season. Her greatest desire was to gather and nurture others, creating spaces for love, connection, and community. She poured this passion into her work and into her community.
We thank God for the mercies He extended, granting Susan years beyond what was expected, allowing her more time with those she loved. Through these years, she leaned on God with all her heart, finding in Him the strength to live fully, despite the obstacles.
As we remember Susan, we are reminded of the beautiful way she surrendered her life to God’s purpose, teaching us through her example the power of trust and the peace that comes from resting in Him. Today, we hold close to her family and pray that God’s love will continue to be their comfort, strengthening them as they walk through this time of grief. And though we deeply feel her absence, we take heart knowing she is now with her Savior, completely at peace.
2 Timothy 4:7 &8 - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day.
